Terms of Service

1. These terms

These terms govern your use of Sarah at sarah-app.com and any related apps (the "Service"), provided by Modulus Systems Europe Ltd ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Beta

The Service is in a private beta. Features may change, break or be withdrawn without notice, data may be reset, and we make no promise of availability. It is free during the beta; if we introduce charges we will tell you in advance and you can stop using the Service before they apply.

3. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over, resident in the United Kingdom, and use the Service only for your own personal finances or those you are legally entitled to manage. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything done under your account.

4. Bank connections

Bank and card data is obtained through TrueLayer Limited, an FCA-authorised Account Information Service Provider, under your consent and TrueLayer's own terms. Access is read-only. We cannot move money, make payments or change anything at your bank. You can withdraw access at any time.

5. Information, not advice

Sarah does not give financial advice. Net worth figures, categorisations, benchmarks and "money moves" are generated automatically from your data and general market assumptions. They may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell, switch or hold any product. Modulus Systems Europe Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Before acting on anything Sarah shows you, check the actual terms of the product and, where appropriate, take regulated advice.

6. Your data

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You keep ownership of your data; you give us permission to process it to provide the Service. You can delete your account and data at any time.

7. Acceptable use

You must not: connect accounts you are not entitled to access; attempt to access other users' data; reverse engineer, scrape or overload the Service; or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and content belong to Modulus Systems Europe Ltd or its licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, the Service is provided "as is" and we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on information in the Service, from decisions you make about your money, from inaccurate data supplied by your bank or a third party, or from interruptions to the Service. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to £100 or the amount you paid us in that period, whichever is greater.

10. Ending things

You can close your account at any time. We can end or suspend your access if you breach these terms, if we withdraw the Service, or if required by law. Sections 5, 8, 9 and 12 survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. If you have a complaint, email hello@sarah-app.com and we will try to resolve it.
